General Information about the DGfS Special Interest Group on Computational Linguistics (DGfS-CL)

The Special Interest Group (SIG) on Computational Linguistics is part of the German Linguistic Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sprachwissenschaft, DGfS). The goal of the SIG is to promote the communication between computational and theoretical linguistics.

The DGfS-CL was founded in 1988. From that year until 1999, the DGfS-CL organised a series of seven symposia. The symposia were then replaced by the Fall Schools.
